Frequently asked questions
Do you charge to come out and look?
For most jobs we quote the complete price on the phone, so there is no separate look-and-see visit. Where a job genuinely cannot be quoted blind — an unusual commercial door, a safe with no documentation, a multi-door site survey — we tell you that up front and agree what the assessment costs before anyone travels.
Are all of these services available 24 hours?
Emergency work is: lockouts, broken keys, break-in damage and car keys. Planned work like master key system design, access control installation and CCTV is scheduled, though commercial jobs are often deliberately done overnight or on a weekend so the business is not disrupted.
Do you supply the hardware or do I buy it?
Either. We carry common residential and commercial hardware on the van so most jobs finish in one visit. If you have already bought a lock, we are happy to install it — just say so on the phone so we bring the right tools, and be aware the guarantee then covers our labour rather than the part.
Can one visit cover several jobs?
Yes, and it is much cheaper than several visits. If you want the front door rekeyed, a deadbolt added to the garage man-door and the patio slider looked at, say all of it when you call. You pay one call-out instead of three.
Do you work with landlords and property managers?
Regularly. Turnover rekeying, master key systems for multi-unit buildings and scheduled hardware maintenance across a portfolio. See rental property lock changes and master key systems.
What if my job is not on this list?
Call anyway. This list covers what we are asked for most, not the limit of the trade. If it involves a lock, a key, a door or a safe, describe it and we will tell you honestly whether it is something we do — and if it is not, we will usually know who does.

Not sure which service you need?
Describe what the door, the lock or the car is doing and we will tell you which job it is and what it costs. No obligation, no pressure.
